Two Material Options for Your Repipe
Repiping is one service, with two material options: USA-made Type L copper or Uponor PEX-A. We help you compare them based on your priorities, property access, pipe routing, and fixture connections.
Option 1: Type L Copper
USA-made Type L copper for homeowners who prefer a rigid metal piping system. We assess installation access and explain where openings and connections will be needed.
Option 2: Uponor PEX-A
Flexible Uponor PEX-A for a new water distribution system. We review routing and connection requirements for your home rather than choosing materials on price alone.
Repiping for Homes & Multi-Family Properties
We repipe single-family homes and townhomes as well as occupied multi-family buildings. The property type shapes the access and scheduling plan; copper and Uponor PEX-A remain your material options.
HOA & Multi-Family Properties
Our repiping service also covers condominiums, HOA communities, and apartment buildings, using Type L copper or Uponor PEX-A as specified for the project. We coordinate resident access, water shutoffs, inspections, and phased work with owners, boards, and property managers.
A San Jose-Based Team. A Property-Specific Plan.
San Jose homes and buildings do not all have the same access. A crawl space, slab foundation, attic, or multi-story layout can change the best pipe route and the amount of wall or ceiling work required. During the onsite visit, we inspect accessible areas and explain the proposed approach before you commit.
Tell us about low water pressure, recurring leaks, discolored water, or previous pipe repairs. We can help assess whether a whole-property repipe is appropriate and define the fixtures and connections included in your written scope.
What to Expect From Your Repipe
1. Free Onsite Estimate
We review your property, material preferences, fixture connections, and access. Your written proposal defines the price, included work, and any exclusions.
2. Permits & Installation Planning
We coordinate the permit and inspection process for the agreed scope and discuss access and water interruptions before work starts. Multi-family projects require a plan for residents and building management.
3. Repipe & Inspection
Our in-house team completes APR direct installations. Many whole-home repipes can be installed in one day, but the schedule depends on property size, access, scope, and inspection availability. We plan around restoring water service daily.
4. Patching & Completion
Included drywall patching and texture take place after the rough inspection is approved. Painting is excluded unless it is specifically included in your proposal. Final inspection and any remaining scope items are coordinated before completion.
San Jose Repiping Questions
How much will my repipe cost?
Pricing depends on the number of fixtures, material, stories, foundation, access, and repairs needed. A free onsite estimate gives you a property-specific price instead of a generic figure that may omit important work.
Can residents stay during a multi-family repipe?
We review occupancy, access, shutoff windows, and work-area safety with management. The plan should explain how residents will be notified and how each phase affects their unit.
What warranty is included?
APR direct homeowner repipes include a lifetime labor warranty, subject to the written warranty terms. Uponor PEX-A has a 25-year manufacturer warranty, subject to manufacturer terms. Your proposal identifies the warranty applicable to your project; multi-family scope and terms are confirmed separately.
